Csergezán, Pál Deer roar
Description
"Pál Csergezán's real home is the forest, his real friends are trees, birds, wild boars, wild animals, and horses. His whole life was devoted to the love of animals and the worship of nature," we can read about him on the website of the foundation that bears his name. The II. He was drafted at the end of World War II and found himself at the front. During his three years as a prisoner of war, he discovered Russian nature painting.
In 1953, he graduated from the graphic arts department of the College of Fine Arts, where he was taught by Jenő Barcsay, Sándor Ék and György Kádár. After completing his studies, he worked as a graphic artist and illustrator, his main topics were hunting and horses.
Then he "switched" to painting, becoming an excellent animal painter. This is also proven by his oil-painted canvas "Szarvasbőgés". The protagonists of Csergezán's large-scale composition are a well-grown stag and deer. The male invites the females grazing around him to mate with his roar.
Seeing the composition painted with excellent artistic care, extremely lifelike, we almost feel like we are in nature. Thanks to the faithfulness of the colors and the careful painting of small details, we can almost hear the rustling of the leaves and feel the mist rolling in between the mountains.
The creator was inspired by the beauty of nature. An environment in which he was happy to visit, carefully observed, and then faithfully captured with a brush.
